Our summer interns put their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test during an outing to a local escape room - and escaped Mountain Top Murders in 36:59!

Hello Michigan West Michigan - Intern Connect

June 25th

Our Summer Interns attended the Intern Connect event - alongside hundreds of other West Michigan interns - for an afternoon of networking, professional development, and inspiration.

The experience left them feeling motivated and full of fresh perspective.


A special shoutout to Blake, who walked away the lucky winner of the Giveaway Prize

- a $1600 Xbox gaming chair - not a bad way to wrap up the day!

June 6th

Great start to the day at Coffee Circle, held at Spartan Innovation in G.R.

We had the pleasure of joining a vibrant group of innovators, founders, and community leaders on June 6th. The event was moderated by Janet Wylie, featuring a discussion with Rachael Berkal, founder of Vetr Health, and Terra Osman, founder of GetFarmish.

Their stories of building mission-driven ventures in Michigan were not only inspiring but a powerful reminder of the creativity and grit in our local startup ecosystem.

Jessica and Mollie attended the 3rd Soar Sesson on June 20th.

Presenter: Linda Gardia

Linda is an unopposed candidate for Texas House Representative in District 107. She has spent 17 years working in the TV and film industry, helping well-recognized TV networks, movie studios, and streaming services build programming for the U.S. Hispanic market. 


To date, Linda is a published author of the book Wealth Warrior: 8 Steps for Communities of Color To Conquer the Stock Market. Linda’s work has been featured on Yahoo Finance, CNBC, Dallas Morning News, Chicago Tribune, Forbes, Nasdaq.com, Parents Latina, Apartment Therapy, Chicago Tribune, and was a contributor to Time’s Next Advisor. She is also the host of Investies, a weekly podcast dedicated to making economic and stock market news digestible.


AIAM GOLF OUTING

KyleBrianHoward, and Brendan - hit the greens at the Aerospace Industry Association of Michigan (AIAM) Golf Outing at Hawk Hollow Golf Course last month. Despite the heat, it is a great day for networking, reconnecting with industry peers and showing up to support Michigan's aerospace community.

Mike Lingg, Sachin Kushwaha, and Azizul Hakim represented AoE at the AIAA Avaiation Forum in Las Vegas. Mike presented two white papers:

RED CROSS CPR / FIRST AID TRAINING

June 11 - 12th

12 AoE team members completed American Red Cross CPR / First Aid Training led by Teri Burgess-Brown. This marks our third year hosting in-office certification - making us better equipped to respond with confidence in emergency situations

- whether at work, home, or out in the community.

JUNE WELLNESS CHALLENGE

Our June Outdoor Challenge wrapped up on June 30th.

Throughout the month, team members soaked up the sunshine by racking up hours outside and completing daily wellness challenges. Points were earned, and six lucky winners were drawn (Jacob Vanden BoschMollie VonEhr, Sachin KushwahaBrennan BurkePedro Takayanagui, and Andy Roggenbuck). They each got to choose a prize - from gift cards to fun Michigan-themed goodies.

THE POWER OF POLLINATORS at John Ball Zoo July 14th - Nov. 23rd Explore the critical role these creatures play in sustaining ecosystems, supporting biodiversity, and ensuring that plants, flowers, and crops thrive. Over 20 animatronic pollinators will be on display, including butterflies, beetles, bees, and the very important Poweshiek Skipperling, which is the star of one of the Zoo’s most successful conservation programs.
